St Michael’s Cottage is a truly stunning 16th Century flint and brick built former merchant’s house set over four floors. Full of character it has a look-out tower at the top of the house on the fourth floor which affords fantastic views over East Fleet creek, the harbour, the marshes and sea beyond. With a telescope/binoculars supplied, this is a great space for daytime vistas to appreciate the superb coastal views and also is perfect for night-time stargazing.

Step inside this enchanting cottage and you will find two steep Norfolk winder staircases on either side of the house, a sitting room with wood burning stove, four sumptuous bedrooms plus a shower room and two bathrooms. On the third floor you will find a TV room. A convivial kitchen/dining space on the ground floor provides the opportunity to enjoy good food and conversation. The master bedroom is beautiful and built into the converted sail loft, which has a stunning heavily beamed ceiling and exposed brickwork walls which gives a true sense of the history of the house.

Suitable for both families and friends it is ideal for a short break or longer stay. This beautiful cottage decorated in a neutral palette is set on a quiet no through road is located right in the heart of Wells-next-the-Sea, on one of the narrow lanes that leads down to the quay, and comes with off-street parking for one car and its own sunny south-facing courtyard garden, with a barbecue seating area.
