The Wheelhouse is a semi-detached conversion of a wheelhouse, by a beck in the village of Barton, eight miles from Richmond. The cottage has plenty of character, including a 'secret window' in the first floor king-size double room, which overlooks the living area below. There is a ground floor king-size double with en-suite basin and WC, and a ground floor bathroom, along with the welcoming open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with a woodburning stove. Outside the cottage parking can be found on the roadside, the village green is on the doorstep and the shop and pub are just a moment or two away. The Wheelhouse makes a welcoming base for enjoying the northern Dales, including Durham, Richmond, Barnard Castle, the Teesdale Way and more.
