Welcome to Cwtch Cottage and ideal choice for your next long weekend or midweek break.
In the heart of the historic walled town of Conwy is Cwtch Cottage, a delightful terraced cottage for four people, making it great for families or couples. There is a good-sized living/dining room and a lovely kitchen with all mod cons. Located in a quiet side street, it is only a few steps to the cobbled high street with a wide range of individually owned shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants.
Stroll round town and visit the historic houses of Plas Mawr and Aberconwy House, visit St Mary's Church, or explore Conwy Castle. Plus you can walk along the top of the town walls with their spectacular views. Take a stroll along the quayside where you'll find Britain's smallest house, or hop on board a pleasure boat for a cruise out into the Conwy Estuary. You might like to take a gentle circular walk through woodland and back along the quay just 2 minutes from the house, or venture a little further to a sandy beach about a mile away. The more adventurous can walk from the house up Conwy Mountain or to the RSPB reserve on the outskirts of the town.
Many areas of the North Wales Coast can be accessed via train or bus – an open top bus runs regularly to the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno a short distance away, with its famous pier, Punch and Judy shows, and the Great Orme which juts out into the Irish Sea, rising to 679 feet above sea level. Here you'll find the Great Orme Tramway, UK's longest cable car ride, and the incredible Bronze Age Copper Mines which you can explore deep underground.
From Conwy, take a short journey down the beautiful Conwy Valley to Bodnant Gardens owned by the National Trust, which provides a vast array of floral abundance all year round. Also in the Conwy Valley, you can go surfing at Surf Snowdonia and visit pretty Betws-y-Coed with its alpinesque surroundings. A little further afield is Llanberis at the foot of Mount Snowdon, or try Europe's longest and fastest zip wire at Bethesda. And the coast road will take you over the bridge to the Isle of Anglesey with 125 miles of stunning coastline to discover. Whatever you want to do in North Wales, Cwtch Cottage makes a fantastic central base! Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
