About The Granary Cottage rental includes
Summertree Cottages are positioned in a secluded, quiet area just 2 miles from the delightful, picture postcard village of Thornton-le-Dale in the North York Moors. These three lovely, modern cottages have been converted from original farmyard buildings and date back to the 1940's. Two of the cottages are on the ground floor and sleep two in each, making them ideal for people with limited mobility. The other cottage is an upside down cottage sleeping four people with the spacious open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area on the first floor to take advantage of the lovely views. All three cottages are very well-equipped and have a lot of character and charm and can be booked separately or together for larger parties. Summertree Cottages provide a perfect base for couples and families looking to explore the delightful areas around North Yorkshire and the pretty villages dotted around the North Yorkshire Moors. The surrounding area is a haven for walkers and dog owners with some delightful countryside walks direct from the cottage. All three cottages have their own private garden where you can sit out and enjoy the afternoon sun, whilst enjoying the lovely views of the surrounding open countryside. Thornton-le-Dale has some lovely traditional gift shops, pubs and tearooms, and you must sample one of the famous ice creams there. The properties are ideal for visiting the bustling market town of Pickering only 4 miles away, host to the famous Traction Engine Rally and War Weekend. The North Yorkshire Steam train is well worth a trip taking you past some lovely traditional Moors villages, including Grosmont, Goathland (Heartbeat Country), before reaching the famous town of Whitby. Dalby Forest, a premier mountain biking destination with some challenging cycle tracks, is close by and is great for the kids with the Go Ape assault course there and you can enjoy live bands that play there throughout the season. Flamingo Land and Eden Camp are also close by and an ideal day out for all the family to enjoy. The coastal resorts of Whitby and Scarborough are only half an hour away in the car where you can enjoy a day at the seaside. For a more cultured day out you can enjoy the gardens of Scampston Hall, the Ryedale Folk Museum and the famous Castle Howard, or visit York, for its history, with the stunning Minster, museums and cobbled streets.

All heating, bed linen and towels included. Cot and high chair available. 2 pets welcome.
